What can I say, I am a romantic. I borrowed my wifes ring for an evening. Her condition for borrowing it was that I clean it for her.
I was going for a marriage/love theme with a nice bokeh effect.
The lights in the background are actually our Christmas tree lights. They make a nice bokeh effect.

I like the off center of the black and white and the bokeh affect in color is great. Good timing with the xmas lights.

ReplyDeleteNice shots. I like the color one best. It might be more symbolic if you overlapped the rings somewhat (interlocking appearance) rather than having them tangent to each other. That might make the precise focusing more tricky, though.
ReplyDeleteThe black and white shot is great! Here are two ideas that might make it even better. Crop in on the right until it cuts about one third of the bright ball of light that is next to the engagement ring. also can you let some of the color bleed back in to the photo maybe 10% to give a a faint colorful toning to the BW image?
