Into the Unknown
Hello My Friends,
Here is a fresh one for the week.
I call it "Into the Unknown".
@BigOwl: If you are referring to the front of the cup, that is the reflection of the table edge that the cup was near. If you are referring to the coffee surface, that is a good question. I believe it is a byproduct of the "Lightsphere" light diffuser that was on my flash. I took some engagement photos for some good friends recently and I noticed a similar pattern on reflective surfaces in some of those photos.
I opted to use a flash in this photo to freeze the motion. I could have created the same effect with more lights and a fast shutter speed, but I would of created hot spots in the reflective surface of the coffee.
I am going to have to experiment some more with the diffuser to determine why it is causing that effect. If anyone else asks, I have psychedelic walls and that is the reflection from them.
